My Story
I started Videography in 2022 when I first joined a film class at my high school. I loved it and began to volunteer for broadcast teams at my school and my church. Eventually I got a position at my church as Assistant Video Director. I learned a ton and decided to go to FSU for Digital Media Production, which I am studying now. Currently, I do freelance videography for Bands, Sports, Companies, and other event media.
High School
I started my high school film class in 10th grade and loved the mix of artistic and technical skills. I grew up doing ballet and dance while also loving engineering and design. I feel like videography was an amazing mix of those two mindsets that fit me perfectly. I started to volunteer with Stream Team, an after school broadcast team for school sports and arts. I learned a ton and eventually got an internship doing very similar work in the summer going into senior year.
Senior year I really exploded. I taught stream team and led logistics, I created more films than ever before, and eventually won my first award in our school’s film festival. Nearing the end of my senior year I was given the ability to contract with my church doing broadcast camera work and directing for six months.
College
Currently I'm a freshman at Florida State University studying Digital Media Production. I’ve been using the opportunities of college to do a lot of freelance videography for athletes, bands, and brands. It’s been hugely rewarding so far and I’m excited to see what the future holds!
Gear
I currently film on a Sony FX-30 with a Sigma 18-50mm f2.8 and an 11mm f1.8. I mostly have experience on Sony equipment like FX3s and their broadcast systems but I’ve occasionally used Canon, DJI, and Nikon.
